Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has officially released the result of this year’s (2023) HSC and equivalent examination by pressing the computer button. He inaugurated the results release program through a function at Ganobhaban a little while ago today.

Earlier, Education Minister Dipu Moni and the chairmen of the education boards handed over the copy of the result to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a ceremony at Ganabhaban at around 10 am.

As per earlier decision, students are supposed to get the result at 11 am. Then at 2 pm Education Minister Dipu Moni will present the detailed information of the results at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital.

This year’s HSC and equivalent exams started on 17 August 2023. However, due to natural calamities, Chittagong and Madrasa and Technical Education Board examinations started after some time. This time according to the rearranged syllabus full marks and full time examination in all subjects except one. Only the information and communication technology (ICT) exam came at the last minute and it was decided to carry 75 marks instead of 100 marks.

HSC Result 2023 : Pass – 78.64%, GPA5 – 92,595

The average pass rate in the current year 2023 HSC and equivalent exams is 78.64. Last time this rate was 85.95. This year the pass rate has decreased by 7.31 percent.

On the other hand, 92 thousand 595 students got GPA-5 out of more than 1.5 lakh students who participated in the examination in 11 education boards of the country. In 2022, the number of students who got GPA-5 was 1 lakh 76 thousand 282. Accordingly, the number of students who got GPA-5 decreased by 83 thousand 687 this year.

The HSC Result 2015 refers to the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results released in 2015 for students in Bangladesh, India, and other countries with similar education systems. In Bangladesh, the results were published by the Bangladesh Education Board and showed a mix of performance across various education boards.

That year, the pass rate and GPA-5 achievers varied depending on the board, with Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Chittagong boards typically performing well. The results were available online and through SMS services, allowing students to access their scores conveniently.

hsc students

HSC Result 2015: Pass- 69.60%, GPA5- 42,894

The average pass rate for the candidates in this year’s HSC and 10 boards is 69.60 percent. Last year, it was 78.33 percent. As a result, the average pass rate has decreased to 8.73 percent.

On the other hand, the number of students found on GPA-5 on the board is 42,894. Last year, GPA-5 received 70,610 students. As a result, the number of GPA-5 candidates is reduced to 27 thousand 708.

All Education Board

This year, under the eight general education board, madrasas and technical education boards, 10 lakh 61 thousand 614 students took part in the HSC and equivalent examination. Of this, 7 lakh 38 thousand 872 people have passed. Under the eight general education boards, the average pass rate for the HSC exams is 65.84 percent. Last time, the rate was 75.74 percent.
